Berlin Philharmonic Brahms Symphonies Vinyl Direct to Disk

Heard his double concerto yesterday at Barbican, along with Holst planets.

Wow, what a program. It must have been a fantastic concert. I just bought an original pressing, box set of Brahm's Violin Concerto and Double Concerto on EMI with Oistrakh/Rostropovitch/Szell and Cleveland. I have heard that it is a great performance.

Yeah it was good. They also did Vaughan Williams Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus which was really nice. The conductor Sir Mark Elder is good, I have seen him before with Ann Sophie Mutter do TchaiKovsky's Violin Concerto and he also did Shostakovich 15. Both Larry Toy and I are going for him and Yuja Wang play Brahms Piano Concerto 2 next month.
