I could go on for pages, pages and pages but in Italy even with 20 euros a bottle you win easily

Is there such a thing as a bad Chianti? :)
I would suggest Chianti Classico over plain Chianti to avoid a “bad” one.

I prefer my wine at room temperature. Darker wines are preferable. Any suggestions. this is not just for me. I hope your suggestion is available in the U.S.A.
Los Vascos from Chile. The Reserva is 16 bucks over here.

Cartuxa from the Alentejo region of Portugal is consistently an excellent wine in the $20 range...having in the past been a great admirer and drinker of rather expensive 1st and 2nd growth wines from Margaux, St-Estephe and St-Julien on the West bank of the Gironde , I found after living in Portugal for 12 years that many of their wines offer outstanding quality and are especially a great value proposition, a very underrated wine growing region of the world.
