Here is a nice little battery powered tube pre with a bit of my custom touch. It comes as a kit with the acrylic chassis. I built the cabinet from scratch and veneered it in rosewood.

I once had a CD holder/folder which looked something like that. I just loved the form and Industrial Design, but could not figure out what to do with it once my work collection of CD's grew.
