I am finally done with my main system, the 808 mk5 is in place and sounding wonderful, rest of system is 909 mk5 amps, 111 streamer, 175 table with AT Opus 1 cartridge and 948 conditioner. Master Artist MasterPiece Towers wired with Kimber Naked XLRs and 6068 Silver Speaker cables, loaded onto a Master Artist Signature Rack and amps stands. VAcoustics and GIK room treatments

Nice looking setup, how does it sound with those side firing drivers close to the walls behind and sides, is the bass not over powering?

the woofers are inward and the 909mk5 knows how to control them, very fast and quick tight bass, no sub required

Porsche, Cool enjoy. :)

I know what you mean, good music, good sound, wine flowing. ;)

Congratulations. Fantastic looking system. Coincidentally, I just had the 808 Mark five installed in my system Wednesday. It is superb.
what you think of it, whats rest of the system, do tell

Primary components of the system are Burmester 218 amplifier, Zellaton Plural Evo speakers, dcs Bartok DAC. I’m on the tail end of a pretty big upgrade cycle. I still need to upgrade the vinyl, which is now a clearaudio performance DC/ not quite up to the rest of the system- that’s next, and then a break

The 808 replaced an octave Audio Jubilee, which I actually think is very good. The 808 obviously achieves synergy with the Burmester amp. It’s also a better match for the Zellaton’s speed, and effortless energy. I’m really enjoying the Burmester amplification, even though the 218 is not quite at the same level as those monsters you have.

the 218 is a fine amp, I had a pair of them, they are very nice, the 909 is just another level tho, effortless and resolution and dynamics galore, speed and control

Wow, stunning system!!
