Capacitor Question

Respectfully, I do not understand what you are finding to be puzzling.

The opening post question is: Who makes a high quality high-end audio capacitor with values of 2,700pF and 3,000pF and some semblance of consistency?

I am grateful to everybody who suggested particular brands of capacitors. That answers my question. I thanked these respondents along the way.

Conversely I find suggestions of brands of active crossovers to be inapposite responses to my question.
@Ron Resnick If this is about the same amp we've been talking about in PMs, IMO you are much better off sorting out if these are the right values by using something less expensive and seeing how it works. The issue is the amp might have a 100K input impedance, but you measured something quite a lot lower, which to me suggests an input transformer.

So if it were me, I'd use some leaded NP0 capacitors. NP0s are a ceramic material but nothing like the old ceramic disk caps. They are only a few dollars and are easily sourced in 1% tolerance. You can get them through Mouser or DigiKey.

I've used these parts and compared them to some very expensive film caps and not heard any difference. What is nice about an NP0 is that as the temperature changes their value stays exactly the same. So no 'warmup' characteristic.

Once you have them installed you can then play the system and see if they are doing what you expect in terms of crossover frequency. If that is satisfied only then would I be on the hunt for something more exotic.
