Center Stage2 LS 1.5 Speaker Footer Experience

I have heard the Townshend bases under my colleagues Marten Contranes generation one and they did indeed make a noticeable difference in bass detail and midrange clarity. That said, I have heard Joe's CMS footer under three different levels of VSA loudspeakers on multiple occasions, including under demanding show conditions. I have also heard them "before and after" under extremely high end electronics including our own WestminsterLab gear, MSB, Lamm and Lampizator Horizon DAC and the differences were anything but subtle. Perhaps those with less resolving systems may not hear their value but I can assure you that in a well sorted high-end system they are quite special.

I 110% agree with what others have said, it's always good to contribute when one has done an A/B comparison of a product or has extensive experience with it, preferably in their own system. Anything less is a disservice to the manufacturers and the readers.

There is a new model, LS 225.
Joe has revised his speaker feet footers. Presently he has the LS Ultra 2.25 which for the price are fabulous. I personally use them under my Taiko Extreme (server) and they outperformed the Ultra TT which I use under all of my other front and rear end components. They are a totally new design. Like the Ultra TT they have auto balance and height adjustment. They are rounded at the bottom rather than flat and do not have the saucer that the Ultra TT has

The height adjustment is done at the top for the footer. This LS Ultra 2.25 replaces the LS 0.8 and it is small enough that I found it to function better under my heavy Taiko Extreme rather than the Ultra TT which I use everywhere else . Plus they cost slightly less than the Ultra TT

I thought they meant to be for speakers? Has anyone installed under speakers yet?

Of course they have. I have two friends who have them under their speakers. The ULTRA TT was designed for Turntables but they perform flawlessly under everything else as well. I have 72 ULTRA TT under all my front end components except my Taiko Extreme where I did have Ultra TT and now I have the LS Ultra 2.25 which was instantly noticeable in my system. Plus IIRC they are slightly less priced than the Ultra TT. One of my two friends who has them under his speakers speakers are now using them under his Extreme as well. I still have the original LS 1.5 under my speakers

Is the tipping sticky? Meaning is it easy to move the speakers around for placement?
