Looks great and should give you many hours of pleasure! I'd keep that variac away from my tapes though! Those variacs really can put out a magnetic field.

John, a variac adjusts voltage level from zero to 100 pct.

I use mine to slow the fast wind speed on my Ampex when using 2 track tapes. I have had no problems concerning tapes,of cource I keep them clear of the variac.
