Enjoyable caricature of the audiophile. We can be sure that Patrick Dillon really knows his hobby and knows the science of caricature. I will surely read and keep an eye on his reviews and interviews with designers in hifizine - I can not believe I did not know about this site!
Like any good joke, there is alot of truth behind the humor. I've come to the conclusion that in life, we all have to obsess about something. Great thread and Carl, as usual, waxes eloquent. I thought Andre's list of coded entries were diagnostic codes, like the AMA code.

1. You will live with a persistent sense that all is not quite well, that you could do better, and that your riding is always in need of something. What this “something” might be will shift depending on how much you’ve already invested: it could be a special dietary supplement or a new pair of wheels, but despite the promises, there is no end point in your performance; you can always do better. This is your steady state condition and if you lose your perspective on this point, you are destined to be unhappy and poor. If you gain perspective, you can settle on just being poorer.
