That SUT sounds really good. Silver transformers are made by Audio Consulting. Step up ratio is low and you need a cartridge that outputs at least 0.5mV.Anyone here have experience with the EMT STX 5/10 transformer?

As far as I remember a couple of EMTs, one or two ZYX 4D cartridges. What cartridge do you hear it with.
There is one of the inputs labeled "EMT", just plug into it and enjoy the magic. Every one of our EMT's sound magnificent with the SUTI will be using various EMT cartridges.
I use it for a few of our phono stages. Typically it goes to the Nagra Classic Phono, but I have also use the Phasemation EA-550, Gold Note PH-10 and Vertere Phono 1 in the past couple months. You use one?
What phono is it going into.
Waking up this line again…I use it for a few of our phono stages. Typically it goes to the Nagra Classic Phono, but I have also use the Phasemation EA-550, Gold Note PH-10 and Vertere Phono 1 in the past couple months.
We used to sell Gold Note and I am very familiar with the unit. The 510 is much better. I hate to sound like a cliche, but the 510's color palette is both bigger and more vibrant. Sort of like Technicolor Audio!Waking up this line again…
I use a GoldNote PH1000 with external PSU 1250. Will this SUT outperform the MC part of this phonostage?
Just before your post, pcosta said it took a long time before it sounded good. With the GoldNote + the PSU1250 in my reference, it sounds pretty good. But never listened to both, like you did. Btw, if I use this SUT, I will still need a phonostage for MM, otherwise the SUT won’t work. Potential other option I have is the Zanden 1200S.
