First off, I'd like to wish all of the members of the WBF a Happy New Year. May your audio journey this year take you to new roads in search of your own personal audio nirvana.

What, if any, audio goals do you have slated for 2013?

I will personally be making a conscious effort to roll some more valves in my preamplifier and CDP. Not that I haven't done so in the past year but I will step it up a notch or ten. Come this February, I will be gutting my Tyler Acoustics Linbrook Signature Reference loudspeakers and going external with the crossover and upgrading everything within the crossover, then going even further by tweaking the speakers as much as I possibly can. I have already lined up a really nice new TT cartridge, a new phono pre, will be doubling my LP collection through a rather nice gear swap with a friend. The last goal I will have for this year is to start looking [finally] into DAC options for the rig.

I would say buy more music but I think that's a given with me. I am, however, going to try to stick with more of the highest quality recordings the industry has to offer instead of the generic RB and LP's. I do have a feeling that many of my musical purchases will be more vinyl this year than digital but we'll see how that goes as time marches on.

Again, Happy New Year! Stay safe tonight, enjoy the music and we'll see you next year! :)

Sell off my excess inventory, get a Stax transformer box with NOS Stancor trannies I got on ebay working, fix a sony TA 8650 VFET amp to play with. Otherwise, aside from tube butler maintenance, I am happy. Haven't had nervosa in a long time, but still like to play and dabble.

Transport! I've had my eye set on second hand transport for years now...just finishing the last few tweaks to the rest of the system. Just got the last bits of HRS nimbus couplers/dampers setup yesterday, and may have found some Transp Ref XLMM2 ICs to swap for. Once those are done plus one other tweak...then 2013 is all about finding a Zanden Transport second hand within budget.

I've made some upgrades lately that has seen me move from my former "vintage" setup to something more up to date. My Pioneer setup is gone and has been replaced with a McIntosh MC122 power Amp and a PS Audio 4.6 Preamp. Although not new they do represent a step up in quality and enjoyment. I also acquired an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge and just ordered a heavy counterweight for my RB250. I have made one other change that I hope to make known in the next few days. It is a MAJOR upgrade. :D

I think that in 2013 I'd like my focus to be on a better tonearm for my Nottingham Horizon.

Happy New Year everyone.

I hope to tick off a Sonos receiver, a BluRay player, a center channel speaker and a wall-to-wall carpet for the theatre-under-construction.

Thanks Lloyd! I will provide pics as well!

As per usual however, most of my expenditures will come from acquiring more media. My passion is music first and foremost, and I'm looking forward to discovering new sounds and revisiting old ones with better pressings.

Great! And yes, its all about the music...other than this transport, my budget is far more music than tweaks.

The audio goals remain the same- have fun pursuing great sound!
