I wanted to extend wishes for our family here to enjoy their holiday! I hope that it provides you with relaxation and the company of loved ones. I'm thankful for the new friends I've made here and I'm looking forward to the New Year as WBF grows.

Regards,

Lee

We certainly have a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

To people not from US, sorry about the odd holiday occasion :). In a nutshell, it is all about eating as much food as you possibly can in 30 minutes after you spent 6-8 hours preparing it. Such rituals as having 20 side dishes and a big turkey are deployed (two turkeys in our case). And then when it is all done, light desserts are served such as Pecan and Pumpkin pie all with more butter/fat in the crust than the turkey had in its entire 20 pound body :). Then the next day, it starts all over again, eating the leftovers. Some people try to pretend they are eating something different by making soup out of it. Net goal of the whole affair is a 10% increase in body fat or risk showing up to work and having people wonder if you have had a "good" Thanksgiving. You know, like going to somewhere sunny and not coming back with a tan.

The day after another ritual starts, the mandatory shopping season. But that is for another post :).

This is a special Thanksgiving for me as 5 of my 6 kids are here with their wives, boyfriends and 3 of my 5 grandchildren.

To all of our members have the best Thanksgiving and watch your waist as the next 5-6 weeks are the worst of the year (for me at least) :)

Enjoy your time with the family Steve. Does Mini Me sit beside you at the head table position?

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm in Eight Mile, Alabama for turkey day. I hope everyone can at least one time in their lives have a soulfood version of the Thanksgiving meal. Just incredible. Of course you have to be on good terms with your cardiologist, since many items are deep fried and other items seemingly call for more butter than one might otherwise eat in an entire year.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Enjoy your time with family and friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Steve, it's great you will have so much of your family with you. I will be in Louisville with my mom, brother, and both sisters. Not to mention my Aunt and cousins (and all of the spouses). My brother also has 5 dogs and some weird tradition has started where my sister and my aunt (who all live in Louisville) bring their dogs over to my brother's house as well. If I was spending the night (which I'm not), I would be bringing my 3 dogs. So even without my three, there will be 7 dogs yipping and yapping in a house with lots of tile floors and hard reflective surfaces. It's enough to make your ears ring.

My Aunt's dog is a male, but she has a diamond collar on him that makes him look femme. Every time my dogs are there and my sister's dog is there (and my sister's dog is a male chocolate lab), they always try to hump my Aunt's dog which always makes for great family entertainment on the holidays. I keep telling my Aunt to ditch that collar.

I have been busy in the kitchen today and tonight. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends at WBF and enjoy your dinner and football tomorrow. Go Niners

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here but there really is a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to All!!!!!!!

We do have much to be thankful for. Each day I'm on this side of the grass is a good day. I'm with my bride, daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters (and a weekend of awesome football)

Praise God for life itself !!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

I agree about being on this side of the grass :) as today is not only Thanksgiving but both my birthday and that of my youngest daughter and as previously stated 5 of my 6 kids are here with their spouses and/or significant others with 3 of my 5 grandkids.

The cake is getting top heavy with all of the candles :)

We do celebrate it here, more and more after so many years with NAFTA in place and plenty of Mexicans living abroad....Happy Thanksgiving !

Happy happy happy birthday Steve and to your daughter as well.

Have a great day

(Any truth to the rumor that on my 1000th post I get a new pair of Maggie 20.2's?)

Now that's a tall order.
