MEET & GREET: Lukas Fikus and Emile Bok - hear the Lampizator Horizon 360 & Taiko Olympus & IO!

A big thank you to Kathy and Steve for the wonderful day. It was great meeting everyone and getting to listen to Steve's system and room.

I just returned home after an absolutely fantastic weekend with Steve, Kathy, Lukasz, and all the wonderful guests who joined us. I can’t thank our hosts enough for their incredible hospitality, welcoming us into their home with a rare warmth and generosity. The human connection alone made this trip unforgettable.

The audio experience was equally mesmerizing. When I last heard Steve’s system a couple of years ago, it was already outstanding. That time, we we had the LampizatOr Horizon alongside the Taiko Extreme as the digital front end, and the results were nothing short of astonishing.

Now, with the Horizon 360, Taiko Olympus & I/O, and the KBL Sound Extrema XDMI cable, the music reached an entirely new level. The solidity of images and dimensionality of the sound were almost surreal. The added detail in texture, liquidity, dynamic contrast, and holographic quality made this front end extraordinary.

We also enjoyed comparing the Horizon 360 playing via USB (which is already exceptional) to the XDMI protocol, and the difference was more significant than anyone anticipated. Every guest was thoroughly impressed.

Thanks once again to our hosts, and I hope to see some of you at Capital AudioFest this weekend!

Best,
Fred A.

Thanks to all. It really was a fabulous weekend. Almost 30 members were present over both days. Today I’ve been getting messages from those who attended and all have been fixated on the A-B tests we did several times through the weekend using the same tracks and line level matched comparing XDMI to USB. Everyone has stated that this was the most revelational impression of their visit. Not one has stated they preferred USB. It’s like finding something so very new in our audio voyages. It seems all of them are on the XDMI band wagon. It really is something that takes all of a few seconds of listening to come to that conclusion.

I’m looking forward to Emile’s visit when the dust settles in Oldenzaal and we can compare the Taiko XDMI digital card which we heard this past weekend to the Taiko XDMI analogue board with internal DAC. I’m sure that will also be fun for everyone. In fact when guests left my house yesterday they asked me to keep them on the guest list for that event

One thing that I forgot to mention to all members who attended this past weekend was that your entire listening experience was 100% solar power coming off my roof. I didn't hear anyone complain of noise

That’s interesting Steve - do you also run a back-up battery system off your solar? From what I understand, it is these that can be quite problematic if on the same phase as your audio system.

Steve, What a privalege to be able to attend this event. You and your lovely wife Kathy are spectacular hosts, your system is next level, expecially with the XDMI. Lukasz is extremely enteraining and at the same time educating, I could listen to him for hours, well, I guess I did. I can't thank you enough for having us.
