Is my older OPPO BluRay player toast?

Our OPPO BRP-80 has been on and n standby mode for years. When we last used it, we had gotten a new smart LG tv and things played fine. I tried it this week and the video is in psychedelic colors, whether a color DVD or black and white DVD. I swapped the cable and blew canned air into theory slot. No change. Is the laser toast? Also no sound...

You might try one of those CD transport lens cleaning discs with the little brushes attached. Cheap and it may fix the issue.

Setup > Video Setup > HDMI Options > Color Space , choose RGB Video
