Jazz 24/192 and DSD sample

Did you have any luck getting to download them Jazzbo Bob?

I can't seem to get through the link at all either to download them.

Good Friday Morning Nevillekapadia,

During the last visit to my friend Pablo's house, he was able to download an entire recording onto reel to reel tape. Pablo has added what he needed to download the music from HDtracks.com I have not heard the tape since my Tascam 42B is in the shop getting rewired with cables directly from the tape heads. The tech is also designing a tube tape head playback pre amp based on a phono pre amp he sells. I can't wait to get all of my stuff back home the hear what it sounds like.

We just sat here and had a listen to the 'remaster' the guys were wanting to know what kind of mics you used, and what type of recorder?
this tape is definitely on the shortlist!

I'd previously only listened to this on my office system. I played it on my 'big' system at home over the weekend and was really impressed. It's a great recording, and fantastic music too!

nunnmics.JPGHey Guys
The mics I used are the E.D. Nunn Audiophile label RF tube condenser mics(1/2 inch B&K measurement capsules- Mark Levinson approved) pictured below. Just two omnis spaced about 5 feet apart and 4 feet from the horn section.
The recorder was the Korg MR-2000S in double dsd mode. The mics are line level output. Glad you enjoyed the music!
