I have just bought a midi 3.0 for a very special offer . After sonus faber il cremonese the difference is night and day nearly about every aspect. Detail, refinmemt, crystal clear and open highs etc. But the guge and deep soundstage is missing. My dealer also offered a classique but don’t have chance to listen it. Is it kust more of everything from midi 3.0 or has a better soundstage? Il cremonese was a bit big for my room especially the width of the room which is 4.40 meters. Room is 12.5 meters long which is around 54 sqm. So if the clasiique is big for the width of the room than i will stay with midi 3.0 but if soundstage is greater i will go for it.
Anyone heard both?

I heard the il cremonese and midi 3.0. Compared to kharma, indeed the il cremonese sound starts at speaker plane, then layer back deep (reminds me of rockport pre-beryllium tweeter era) i.e. no sound frequency is pushed toward listener.

The midi 3.0 presents sound in a different way and imo the better speaker (would you agree?). I haven't listened to the classique but have listened to veyron and db. IME going up the line to veyron gives you more of everything but the sound signature is still the same, i.e. the sound does not start at speaker plane and layer back. If the classique is somewhere between midi 3.0 and veyron, I suspect the sound signature is still not what you are accustomed to as with the il cremonese.

Thank you for your detailed response. I agree with you thar midi 3.0 is a better speaker in every way than SF but soundstage. I tought it does not have deep soundstage and brinh them as close as to my listening position to give distance bhind them to breathe. And it works. But SF was 1.5meters apart grom the front wall but midi needs 2..30 meters to give the %90 of soundstage depth of SF. . I did not realise a sound stage depth at betweeb me and the soeaker front plane. Let me try to hear it this time.
Thank you

Sounds like setup to me. The Kharma will couple to the room differently and likely require different speaker and listening position. I’ve not heard either but I did have Kharma speakers in a couple of rooms. They sounded great but small changes in positioning both at speaker and listening position could have a significant effect in all aspects of their presentation. I’d be surprised if you couldn’t get yours to soundstage as you wish if you’re unlimited in room setup.
