When I got my M-10X, the C-10X was not yet available. Tried preamps from ARC, Constellation, and Pass in my system before buying an Esoteric Grandioso C1X solo upon recommendations from several people whose ears I trust. Great fit! Terrific product!

Good to hear that mixing brands work. I’m wondering if the nagra HD pream would be a better fit with my nagra tube Dac vs going with Luxman pre and amp combo.

Another option,
if the dealer in your location has the option to test PILIUM AUDIO,
before you make a purchase, I would actually run to do that.
Especially with that brands you mentioned,

Another strong vote for the esoteric C1x,solo or with the ps.one of the better preamps I have heard in my long and illustrious audiofool career…..
