Apologies for posting in the audio thread but I couldn't see the answer elsewhere. I no longer have an audio only system having moved to AV some years ago.
Anyway, my question regards mains leads for AV systems. Currently my system consists of Panasonic FZ952 Oled (2018), UB9000, BWT850 (new) , Apple 4K TV plus B&O Stage soundbar. A HDFury Diva enables DV from the UB9000 to the FZ952 and acts as a splitter for the source devices
The UB9000 uses MCRU Diy kit 9 and the Apple had a DIY Furutech FP-TCS21 cable with fig 8 connection
I'm upgrading the HDMI and power since I saw and heard noticeable improvements in swapping eg replacing amazon 8k HDMI with Nordost Heimdell 2 and swapping free power lead on BWT850 with the FP-TCS21 from the Apple (just swapped leads). I also have a Blue Heaven, Wireworld Silver, Apple TV Belden and cheap amazon 8k HDMI in the mix. If I could afford it I would swap everything for Heimdell, so I'm doing a bit per month.
What I really want to do is swap the lead on the TV but it is hardwired (Panasonic actually mention this in the manual)
Given Panasonic make a big thing about colour accuracy I wonder if this is deliberate? I notice changing power on the 850 affects saturation, contrast and sharpness as well as audio (as does HDMI). Would I detrimentally affect colour accuracy by improving the power supply of the tv?
Secondly, I'm thinking of chopping the tv lead close to the tv, adding a Furotech FI-06 NCF Ultimate Inlet coupled with another MCRU kit 9. However, I've seen a Nordost Vishnu second hand for a similar price, is that a good idea and what cable would be better?
(Just for info, I'm using a MS HD Power S20 V2 Silver Plated 6 Gang Mains Power Block which takes power from a CyberPower UPS . I had it leftover from my IMac and it was't being used! comes in handy for power cuts and is supposed to create a clean sine wave etc so I thought why not)
