Hello, I consider to buy an MA6900 limited edition no 5 out of 50. Can anyone indicate when this amp was produced/sold from new? Since i suspect it is 15+ years old, can i expect need for extensive component replacement within next 5-10 years? Any addition comments/recommandations are most welcome. As you see i am not a top expert but fancy vintage solid hi fi (the amp will be used with JBL 4333B and L65’s. //Anton (Denmark)

If it comes down to replacing components in HiFi amps, it's mostly capacitors. Time and temperature are taking a toll on them. They may require a replacement in upcoming years, especially since McIntosh runs hot.
