Good value, and also ( very important to me ) comprehensive service, repair and even upgrades at fair prices.

I like to put interesting cartridge in my resume every now and then. This will be on my list and I will contact you when time comes. I am under impression that you have tried the Dava. I have never tried the Dava because I like simpler cart. Does the Tedeska sound in the vicinity of Dava?

with Neumann needle rounding 15um, causes less damage at 6.5g than a vdh at 1.45g. even a spu a needle >18um is much finer in comparison. it glides more on the record groove than it dives inhihi
The reality is quite the opposite cause a modern stylus profile’s contact area is bigger compared to a spherical stylus’s. Even if both are tracking at 2gm modern profile is spreading the load to a bigger area on groove walls thus causing less wear. 6.5gm spherical stylus will definitely cause more damage compared to 1.4gm vdh profile. And modern profiles are not sharper, they’re rounded on the touching areas. Actually a spherical stylus becomes sharp on the worn edges due to less contact surface. But as mentioned earlier posts vinyl can be strong enough to be played hundred times even with a spherical stylus at 3gm or more. Especially when the vinyl is old and made from better, harder material (or became harder over time).
