Hi,
First of all, I use the following equipment in my workplace.
Peavey 15" Black Widow * 4 units
Continuous Power : 350 Watts , 8 Ohms
Program Power: 700 Watts
And two of them are connected in parallel and connected to an amplifier of 680W (2ch) into 4 ohms.
And the configuration of my audio system is as follows.
Source -> Mixer > EQ > XO > Amp > Speakers
And i set the amp's output to 100% and the mixer's gain to 20dB.
All of these speakers were purchased second hand, but two of them had problems and were repaired.
Could the current settings cause the speaker to failure?
Or is it because the speakers are very old?
I want to increase the gain as much as possible within the range where the speaker does not break down,
but I don't know how much gain I need to set.
If have a guideline on setting the gain, please advise for me
Thank you.
