Now Ortofon's top model MC Anna Diamond has been given competition by a new motorcycle pickup in Formula 1 class. MC Verismo as it is called has a stripped body reminiscent of its predecessor A90 and the later A95, but now instead made of laser-melted / 3D-printed titanium (SLM) and not steel. The coils are hand-wound with wire of high-purity (99.9999%) gold-plated copper in a luminaire that provides an output signal of 0.2 mV and 4 ohm impedance. Just like the top model, the needle arm is made of diamond and the needle has the company's extremely chisel-shaped grinding Replicant 100 with 5µm / 100µm. The price for Verismo ends up at SEK 65,000. A hefty penny, but SEK 7,500 cheaper than MC Anna and as much as SEK 23,000 cheaper than MC Anna Diamond, the version with a diamond needle arm.
