New Pilium Gear!!!!

Are there any owners of the Hercules mono's? I was wondering what people are using for Power Cables since there is one for the "Amp" and one for "Control". Do you use the same or are you doing one as a high current version PC and then a normal PC??
The control pc does not have to be of the same quality as the amp cable. The control pc has zero effect on the sound.

Rhapsody, would you be so kind and post the PILLIUM current retail price List?
the last one you posted was from 2022 I believe. Thank you kindly.

HI Ozy,

Attached is the US Pilium Audio Price list for 2024. Prices in other countries will be different based on import and country specific taxes.

The Kratos and Cronus are brand new, recently announced products. They are in the Master Divine Line with the Olympus/Zeus/Atlas products. They are scaled down, regarding physical size/weight and a few less output transistors vs Atlas.

Unfortunately Konstantinos/Pilium is so busy building and shipping products that the site updates lag a bit.

There is not a new version of Elektra, same existing design, but now back in production. Yes the Venus DAC is announced but not shipping yet.

In a few Asian countries Pilium is getting orders for 25 pre/amplifiers at one time. Busy, busy, busy.....

Hi Bob,
Now that the Munich show is in the books, any more information you can share regarding the details of the new Pilium Cronus vs say the Zeus considering they are the two amps closest in price in the M Divine Line?

HI Tony,

Other than the Zeus is stereo (350 W/8 ohms) and Kronus (400W/8ohms) are monos are going to have very similar sonics. The Kronos will have a bit more power on harder to drive speakers but the Zeus is such a beast that I don't think the power difference would be noticeable.

My thoughts are that it is more of a stereo or mono logistics/placement type decision in a given room vs huge sonic differences.

The input boards, the transformers, the output transistors are very similar with slight differences giving the edge to Kronus if you had to make a differentiation.

I was referring to the Cronus Mono (300 w/8 ohms) on your price list Vs. the Zeus Stereo (400 w/8 ohms). Any more details on specs since they don't have these new products on website yet..

Hi Tony,

Sorry, I made the price list when I first heard about the new mono amps. I was in error with a few details on the price list. Some of the models changed as they went into final production. Attached is the revised current US price list. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for update. Just FYI, on the website it says the Zeus is 400 W/ 8 ohms but i assume your price list is correct, 350 W/ 8 ohm for Zeus?

I will ck it. I'm pretty sure Zeus is 350 Watts, but I'm zapped after just returning from Munich. I will confirm which is correct.

Tony, Now I'm really sorry for the confusion. I just talked to Konstantinos that is still driving back from Munich. There is a new price sheet coming in the next week or so. Here are the power ratings and some prices for the latest set of Master Divine Line that will be updated shortly.-

Zeus 400 Stereo ($99,000usd)

Cronus 350 Monos (TBA)

Kratos 400 Monos (TBA)

Atlas 450 Monos ($199,000)

Venus DAC have native xdmi for taiko ?

I have also seen the new offerings from Pilium. Wonder if apart from the size, there is a sonic difference between the Atlas and say the Kratos, or even the Cronus. Why would one go for the Kratos instead of the Atlas? Size? Price? Both? Anything else?

The Kratos, Cronus and Atlas all are of the same Master Divine Line. As you suggest the difference is mostly size, a bit more power (more output transistors) and price between the three different sets of mono amplifiers.

Has anyone paired Pilium with Sonus Faber Aida 2? I wonder if their sound signature are compatible. Music preference is large scale symphonic music.

No but Pilium should be problem for large scale orchestra
