An update of the Series 9 shows Samsung on the trail of apple on all fronts, in this case, the MacBook Air:

The display is an amazing 3800x1200 translating into 275 dpi and touchscreen of course:

The new Haswell Intel processor helps increase the battery life to 12 hours.

Keyboard feel and travel is reportedly improved. Like the 8 Gigabytes of memory and 256 gigabytes of SSD standard. The only miss for me is the glossy screen.

3200x1800 seems to be the new PC standard of high-end thin-and-light Windows machine. Can't wait to do some photo editing on one of these :).

Amir, what really puts me off this laptop and for that matter the MacBook Air also, is the memory capacity. 256 GB's of SSD is basically nothing. These days if you don't have at least a TB your going to soon regret it.

Yes, it would be nice to have larger capacity. I have had 256 on mine for a couple of years and I do have to manage the space carefully. They likely are going to price this unit very high as is. So they did not want to make a band situation worse. :)

Is this still the, or at least one of the, laptops to get this fall? If there are any others, which?

Cool, I'm shopping for a laptop.

"They likely are going to price this unit very high as is." ... Like how high?

* What I like most on this Samsung one: 11 hours
