Ordering a Bokrand Tonearm

@alfredbokrand - if you want to right the ship? You should worry about communicating out on WBF what has been happening, the truth if different from the other posts, and what you are doing to make things right.

I will not respond to your prior posts, as there is no threat or malicious information that would make me fall backwards. Do right by the members of the forum (as well as your customers) moving forward or reap what you sow. It's as simple as that.

Tom
I've been selling my tonearms on eBay since 2005 without any complaints, until the following happened:

I then published a statement on many forums and also wrote this to all my customers.

i have been selling my tonearms since 2013 and here on ebay since march 2019. all customers have received their tonearm and no one has lost their money with me. the only complaints here on ebay were always because of the long delivery times, which were not intentional on my part were made, but because of my illness (I'm 74 years old) now ebay has ruined me for no reason. I had a complaint from the USA that the customer had not yet received his tonearm. I settled it immediately with the customer in all friendship and sent him the arm. he confirmed receipt. since the customer had not opened the complaint on Ebay (the complaint period of 30 days had passed), he had opened the complaint via his payment service provider (Paypal/Bank) I then asked the customer to to close the complaint because ebay had blocked my balance on my ebay account and was no longer making any payments. but i always need the money to buy new material for ongoing production. The customer immediately closed the complaint with his payment service provider and sent me the confirmation from his bank (see attached image) Despite my many phone calls to ebay (very long and expensive) and the receipt and emails from the customer confirming that he was happy with the delivery, ebay has not released the money to me (a large amount) Instead, ebay kept my money and still hasn't closed the complaint. Furthermore, ebay has removed all my offers and blocked my account. Since I have no financial reserves and have only ever lived off the small profit from my tonearms, I was not able to buy new material for the production. Ebay intentionally damaged my business (is a punishable offense in Germany and is in the penal code) For this reason, I ask all my customers to open a complaint on ebay because of non-delivery. If the complaint period on ebay is over, you have the option (up to 6 months) to open the complaint with your financial service provider (Paypal, bank ect) This is how you get your money back. I'm sorry about my customers, but I have no other option in the current situation. I still have to sell some tonearms to survive, but outside of ebay Please let me know if you don't get your money back for any reason, I will of course refund it. Since ebay brought me into this situation, ebay should first take responsibility for it. That's what buyer protection is for. I'm sorry for all my customers, but at the moment I have no other option.

I could have made it easy for myself and filed for bankruptcy. Here in Spain, where I have lived since 1991, that is not a problem and without consequences.
After that, I gradually either returned the tonearm to well over 30 customers or returned their money.
Most customers had paid much less than €900 and then received my latest Ortofon SONORO tonearm, which costs €2,250, as compensation. Would you like an example? You can find one here in the forum; otherwise, I'll be happy to look it up.

Here is also the letter to my customers outside of Ebay. All the customers I have written to are very understanding and have been waiting 6-8 weeks for their tonearm. Until now, nobody wanted money instead of a tonearm.

Moratorium with my customers

the delivery of more than 30 tonearms is still open (16 on ebay and about 17 outside of ebay) that's impossible to do in a few days. i'm a one-man business and do everything on my own with great attention to detail and everything with the highest quality precision.otherwise my tonearms would not be rated so extremely highly by my customers worldwide.there is only one way i can get out of this disaster.
Every day I get emails from my customers: where is my tonearm? The whole thing took such a toll on me mentally and physically (I'm 74 now) that I got serious heart problems and had to go to the emergency room several times. Only yesterday again.
there is only one solution to this problem. They give me 8 weeks to reorganize myself all customers get their money back or their tonearm in about 8 weeks. I've been self-employed since I was 21 and lost all my money in a big investment. I don't get any pension or any other payment. I live on the small profit I have on the tonearms. Everyone knows what all the parts are for a complete tonearm and that my selling price is far too low to make a big profit. Ebay alone collects 13% commission from above, that's 26% from below, with a 50/50 calculation (50 material, 50 gross profit) That means I have 24 euros out of 50 euros. I was therefore unable to build up any reserves from the sale of the tonearms and I also have no security for a bank loan. Absolutely no assets available. I lost everything in a large investment in Germany.
Therefore I need some time to accumulate the money for my clients. Since I will now bring 2 patents to the crowdfunding platform INDIEGOGO, I see no problem in getting enough money for all repayments together.. If all customers of a bank want to withdraw their money together, then the bank will go bankrupt, no bank can do that (see Credit Suisse in Switzerland, when many customers withdrew their money at once)
The buyers outside of Ebay now give me 8 weeks to reorganize myself and after 8 weeks give you your tonearm or alternatively to deliver your money. I will now present 2 of my patented digital adjustment tools for tonearms on the crowdfunding platform INDIEGOGO and I am absolutely sure that I will get enough money for the future without any problems.

It is unbelievable that WBF still allows Alfred Bokrand to post here. Many other forums will shut it down. It is very clear he is not delivering. If he can’t keep up schedule, don’t accept new orders.

It is very clear he is not delivering.

The fact that I am not delivering my newly sold tonearms is a defamation and slander of you and is punishable in all countries. Something like this may never be published on social media. I am happy to publish the law that applies to this in your country.

I am sorry sir, but you are incorrect on this. Truth and disclosure are not what you say it is.

Right the ship or reap what you sow. It really is as simple as that.

Wow. By your own admission, you have a large amount of money freeze by eBay and have no money to buy materials to produce tonearms. So you are actively soliciting new orders in order to have cash to produce tonearms for old orders. Sound like a variant of Ponzi scheme.

Are you a businessman? If not, I realize you don't understand.
1) These statements are more than four years old and were only meant to explain the reasons for the delayed deliveries.
2) A Ponzi scheme is when new customers don't receive a tonearm, but that's not the case. With the meager profit (my tonearms are much too cheap), I gradually satisfied the customers who still received a tonearm back then (see Wikipedia for a Ponzi scheme).
You should inform yourself well before accusing me of a Ponzi scheme (such insinuations on social media are punishable: see Slander, defamation law in your country, too).
3. I have been a self-employed businessman for 50 years and know what I'm doing.
At the age of 32, I made an investment of 14 million German marks in collaboration with the international OBEROI hotel group (see article in the absolutely reputable German magazine CAPITAL
article attached)
4) Have you ever bought a tonearm from me or corresponded with me so that you could form an impression of me personally?
If not, then find someone else you want to throw under the bus.

... A Ponzi scheme is when new customers don't receive a tonearm, but that's not the case.
Really? There are so many people waiting since years periodically complaining in forums about beeing not served and getting no answers to mails questioning about the delay in delivery or none of your promises beeing held.

Instead of solving these issues first, you're trying to miraculously turn the perpetrator into a victim. That's shameful.

We were 30+ people waiting their tonearms a year before. Still, after a year, 32 people waiting for their tonearm. Nothing changes, this is not going to lead anywhere…

@alfredbokrand I have no skin in this but maybe take a step back and assess your responses. Up to this point they have not done anything to address the concerns of the folks who apparently have been waiting an excessive amount of time for what they paid for. Rather than statements of how old you are, that you make low profit on each tonearm , which is your front-end business decision, ebay woes , legal threats etc. simply supply folks with direct firm commitments as to when each specifically will receive what they paid for. In the end you created the credibility gap and only you can resolve it

How hard is it to add a row to a spreadsheet when you receive an order? It might take all of 2 min. Then you simply build from the top down. Maybe hire a teenager who can manage your orders and email. Raise your prices also.
