So I'm driving along today going about my business when I notice a service/installation van pull up beside me at a red light. I glance over and see that it belongs to "Canadian Sound" - a Custom Electronics Design and Installation dealer in Oakville. These guys have been around for quite a while and do a thriving business. No surprise really, since they are the only high-end audio-video retailer in town, and Oakville has the highest level of income in the country. (I live there, but on the other side of tracks).

On the side of the van, amongst various other promotional signs, is a cover of the Beach Boys' - Sounds of Summer album (The very best of The Beach Boys). It shows a slider similar to what you find on a playlength control to illustrate a song that is playing off that album. Above the slider was the name of the song, and below it the name of the band.

It said:

California Dreaming
------------------(slider)
The Beach Boys.

While The Beach Boys did indeed record this wonderful song originated by The Mamas & The Papas, it does NOT appear on that album. It should have read "California Girls".

I had to look twice to make sure what I saw was correct, and it was. My eyes did not deceive me.

If you can't pay attention to these kinds of details, I don't think I want you doing an install at my house. Maybe it's a small thing, but I tell you...I was flabbergasted by it.

If they want a younger customer base next time they should try Katy Perry and her California Gurls. LOL.
