Hello everyone,
I am a film buff and a film industry worker. Despite this I am not an expert on projectors so I need your help!
I have spent the last two days searching online and I understand that to get a 'real' 1080p home cinema projector you have to spend (in Italy) at least €400-500. Epson's entry level CO-FH01 is at €400 but it looks like an office projector, BenQ has its 'entry level' at over €500.
I will buy a “real” projector when I am in a purchased house and can do a serious setting with also a screen, in the meantime I would like a “temporary” and less expensive solution.
I know all these projectors are 'junk' but please help me choosing the best one!
My current situation is as follows:
Screening wall
Room situation
Throw distance: 2.55m
Projection wall: width 2.3m x 1.8m (max. height taking into account the cabinet with stereo and speakers).
I'll mount a shelf on the wall behind the sofa. The source is laptop/HDMI, using a player (VLC) for .MKV files in 1080/2160p. No need for 'smart' features like AndroidTV etc. Occasionally I'll watch streaming content or soccer games with the environment partially lit, but the main use will be in the evening to watch movies.
Now... these are all the FullHD 'affordable' projectors I found on Projector Central, I'll write down the price at which I would buy them in Italy and two comparison tabs (I divided them by two price ranges, the Nexigo PJ40 and the ViewSonic LX60HD are closer to €400 and I would take them only if they really make a difference).
YABER ACE K1 - €140
YABER L2S - €180
ULTIMEA APOLLO P40 - €190
YABER PRO V9 - € 190
YABER L2 PLUS - €230
ULTIMEA APOLLO P50 - €245
PICO GENIE L700 - €245
ULTIMEA APOLLO P60 - €285
NEXIGO PJ40 - €330
ViewSonic LX60HD - €330
Under €200
Under € 300 (plus NexiGo and ViewSonic)
Please, please please help me choose the right projector for my current situation!
Thanks for your patience in reading, any advice is warmly welcomed!!!!!
Regards.
