Hello,

Every couple of weeks my Qobuz subscription craps out and reverts back to 30 second play only. This is very frustrating, especially as Murphy is quite in control and this happens typically before Clarisys loudspeaker demos.

Has anyone else experienced a Qobuz subscription behaving erratically?

Sorry to hear about that.

No problem with mine, and this is the first time I hear about someone having such an issue.

could be network related and not be Quboz specifically. but unlikely.

try clearing the Roon video cache.

go to the Roon menu, go to set-up, click clear cache. wait over 10 seconds, restart Roon.

the other thing i do which seems to reset things is go to one of your albums files, start it, then navigate to Quboz. somehow this settles everything down.

Are you accessing Qobuz in two different machines or locations? If there is still an active session, the second one goes in guess mode.

I only had this problem after using my Qobuz account in friend's systems.

I also read that going though a VPN can have randomly such effect - in the early days of Qobuz I had to have an account in a foreign country.

No issues here.

Thank you, but I proudly do not use Roon.

I switched over from Tidal. Absolutely no problems!

no problem here

I have had that happen to me on the Innuos Sense App. I just close it down, restart it and then go to the Qobuz specific button under streaming services and log back in and everything is fixed. Irritating. The other irritating thing that is happening that I have been assuming is an Innuos problem is I'll be in the middle of playing a playlist and for some reason it will loop back to close to the beginning of the playlist. Completely unrepeatable but it happens once or twice a night.

I stream Qobuz using three different devices located in different parts of my home. I am not having trouble with any of it, and I think it’s now been over two years since it all settled down. I occasionally access Qobuz using my iPhone in the car, but not often enough to comment on reliability.

As for software, I use Mosaic or Roon based on my whim of the moment with the dCS Rossini Apex. Sometimes Mosaic is a little better than Roon, but Roon is always better organized.

I use BluOS for the Node and the Pulse 2i.

I also stream from Prime, and I use either HEOS or BluOS depending on the device. Qobuz and Prime have sufficiently different content to make keeping both subscriptions worthwhile (to me).

When I first got serious about streaming, I experienced a lot of stability and quality issues. With the help of a friend, I did some troubleshooting and there were some serious issues with both speed and packet loss that my internet provider fixed after I pointed them out with hard data. It took them less than 24 hours, and they found (and fixed) the specific point causing my troubles (it was on their side of the gateway). I keep everything updated, and it has all run smoothly since.

FWIW, everything in the main system here is hardwired to my router. I have modestly priced switches and Ethernet cable. Sounds great. Some of the BluOS and HEOS controlled devices are on WiFi. They’re reliable, but more for convenient access to music than for high fidelity.

Hi Ron, sorry to hear about your problem with Qubuz. It has to be very frustrating. I listen to Qubuz several hours a day about 5 days a week and never a single glitch. My access point is my Lumin U2 which is connected by ethernet to my router. If I were in your shoes these would be a list of the things I would look at:

If the device you use as an access point is hardwired it's probably not your router. If you use WiFi for your streamer or computer access point I would check your routers software. My router is a TP Link and its software allows me to prioritize devices on WiFi. If too many devices are using to much bandwidth at the same time it will temporarily kick non priority off.

Is the software on your streamer or computer current and up to date?
You could delete your login info and re-enter...
Check sleep settings on computer/tablet. Although I just tried an experiment and quit my Lumin app on my iPad while a album was playing via Qobuz and it kept playing.
I would login to my Qobuz account on a computer and change my password in case I was hacked.

Feel free to PM me for my number and we can put our heads together.....

Thank you, but I proudly do not use Roon.

Ron have you tried (just as an experiment) the Qobuz app on your phone? See if that also drops out as much to help narrow down the problem if it's at the Qobuz service level.

Never experienced the problem.

Sounds like you get logged out on occasion for some reason. I’d purposely log out and back in before important demos.
