To all my friends here, thank you from my heart for all of the assistance you have given me. Everyone here has been super wonderful. What I love is, no one gave me the impression that my basic questions was any less meaningful than any others. Not once did anyone give me the sense that my concerns were not important and for that I applaud each and everyone. What a great group of forum members who have the talent to actually reach out and help those of us who are still in the basement as far as tech knowledge goes. I am looking forward to the day when I can come upstairs.

bob :)

The first step is to admit you have the disease. I'm Bruce and I'm a tapeaholic...

The problem is they will send you to TA (Tape Anonymous) and the counselors are all digital freaks who will try and reprogram you to hate analog.

did you end up getting a RtR deck Bob?

Hello and good evening to you my friend. Indeed I did get a deck. I picked up an excellent Tascam 42B reel to reel about 1.5 years ago. And of course I've had a tube tape playback preamp built as well. They work very well together. I have links to my system plus reel to reel stuff on this very forum. Take a look at my post: "Amina HD4 PreAmp Photos" sir. Thanks for asking and I am happy with what I am hearing. :)
