SFP Rolling? Anyone?

I never heard of Optospan, which does not necessarily mean much ;-)....is it a manufacturer or do they just buy modules and label them?

Personally I am going to stick with Finisar and OC single mode FOC. This is what both Sonore and Uptone recommend for their products.

a manufacturer recommending something means they tested it and liked it, not recommending something may also mean they did not get around to test it....

Sure you do you. Like I said "Personally"

I did not intend to judge what you intend to do, just trying to clarify that what manufacturers recommend is not necessarily covering all available options ;-)

I've been completely content using AfterDark Project ClayX Constellation setup (Finisar 1475, OwensCorning cable) with Sonore OM, OR. This with custom build streamer, Enterprise level internals, JCAT Optimo ATX LPS running Euphony OS. This run on 'clean' or audio only side of network, segregated from dirty or whole house network. I'm extremely wary of changing out anything, including SFP's in my streaming setup, extremely resolving with analog like presentation. I've found clocking is key to analog presentation, SFP more about resolving capabilities for me.
