Should I upgrade my system?

Frantz:

Yes I have....the plan has always been to enjoy what I have for a while, and I was looking at the Integras for when I made the jump to separates.

Don:

Correct, sir....just dropped $9K on a new Tranny for the GT2, $5k on HT chairs (2 Berklines, and 2 Handcock and Moore's, some of the best chairs made) and another k on a new computer. I have no excess funds.

Phelonious:

OK, I just listened to some Stray Cats...actually listened closely to brief breaks between the songs, and I could not hear any hissing of any sort.

Speaking of speakers, what do you recommend, as I have been pretty happy with the RF'7's....the other speakers are inferior (even though they are all part of the Reference series...only the 7's are American made). To be honest the only upgrade I have considered was some Klipschorns.

No speakers in particular, doc, I'm just saying that's where the dramatic changes occur. Swap amps? Eh...that's nice. Swap speakers and you'll really hear a difference. Now if you told me you spent 80% of your time listening to small combo jazz and chamber music, I'd say try some Maggies. 80% movies? The Klipsch are fine. And the Emotivas are more than fine. Save your money.

Maybe some Cassandra Wilson, Dianna Krall and the very very occasional Lovely Lovely Ludwig Von...but much more so movies, especially those that blow things up:D
