I received a text message this morning to say that one of my co-workers passed away. He was 42 years young and left behind a wife who absolutely adored him, and a daughter and step-daughter that lived with them and both 16 years old.

While we never associated after work (other than the odd outing or party) he was a super nice guy and always very positive about life and laughed more than anyone I've ever known. In the 15 years of us working together we never shared a bad word and always took the time to say hello and chat about things. He was a healthnut and avid snow and sail boarding fanatic. He knew I was a huge vinyl fan, and although he wasn't, he always took an interest in me on my hobby....a real interest. We liked each other a lot and had respect for one another. Warren was the real deal and I wish I could have been friends.

His wife Geneva also works with me and I can't imagine what she must be going through at this moment. Warren was the love of her life and you could see it in her eyes. I cry a little for her loss today.

People leave us for that great place beyond this earth and we feel compassion for those left behind, but this for some reason has really bothered me and I feel more than just passing sympathy. I honestly feel truly sad.

It was a privilege to have known him!

R.I.P. Warren! :(

What happened to Warren?

I won't know until tomorrow. I do know he had sleep apnea, so maybe it was related to that....I don't know at this point. The outpouring of condolences has been non-stop all day.

Being a mere 42 years old and a health nut, it just doesn't make sense. I was wondering if it was a traffic accident or something like that.

A friend of ours bought a handgun last week and blew her brains out. She was 68 years old, a wife and grandmother. She suffered from severe depression we were to learn. RIP Bonnie..
