Sovereign

I owned the Sovereign eternity and the Reality amps driven my Wilson Audio Watt Puppys already in the mid 1990`s almost 20 years ago. They were made by Mr. Höhne. I havent heard anything about them til now.
There must be a lot of upgrades in order to compete today. I heard the Sovereign Monster amp those days driven the Infinity beta speakers at Mr. Höhnes home. Interesting that they look exactly the same after 20 years- brings me "back to future" and make me feel much younger! Thanks Sovereign!!

mass loading. it will drain any reasonance from the cabinet. with such small light cabinets the whole cabinet would be reacting to the driver excursion without some sort of loading.

you can do the same thing by putting a brick on top of the cabinet but it would not be as elegant.

and it does allow for a very small form factor cabinet that will work in small spaces yet still handle some SPL's.

You are right of course: As I said, this was one of the speaker systems i owned for years; the satellites were fantastic, the sub was never quite discrete enough, and I used it at the time with their inhouse Aaron 1 integrated (that amp was not quite so great..)
