Technics SL-1210GR cue lever sag

Is this normal for the cue lever? This was manufacturer refurbished from hifi heaven. I had a mk2 a while ago and dont remember it being nearly this bad. A lot of play when pushing down and when lifting cue all the way up tonearm sags back down when let go. Adjusting the lift height etc did nothing

It happens regardless of tonearm height, cue lift height, vtf, cartridge/headshell weight, or any other adjustable setting.

If you can’t find a solution on Vinyl Engine in the technics forum, well if I was you, I would return it and ask for a refund.
