Dear all,

I'm currently on the lookout for a new turntable and looking at a second hand Transrotor, however I can't get ahold of which model to go for.
There are currently a few options listed for sale:
- ZET 3 wit Fuss PSU, Transrotor-SME 5009 tonearm which seems to be a 309/SME V hybrid, Skyanalog P1 cartridge and unknown phono stage at 5.5 grand
- Pianta SL80, probably a unique model as it has 3 motors, SME V (silver badge), expensive Lyra Titan MC cartridge and comes also at 5.5 grand. The history is unknown.
- Dark Star Reference with Rega RB880, Konstant Studio power supply and cheap TR/Goldring MM cartridge. This package costs 4 grand

I know there is also the Fat Bob S that has the TMD bearing but translating a few pages from a German audio forum didn't provide a clear answer whether the TMD is a significant upgrade or a deal breaker.

I've owned an EAT Forte with "12 Graham in the past and also a Sondek LP12 anniversary with upgrades but don't want to go that route anymore.
I'm also looking at a brand new SL1200G but I'm unsure if it won't give me an upgrade itch pretty fast for not looking expensive enough and having "DJ" looks.
I've been looking at the Rega Planar 10 with RB3000 but Rega seem to be a bit of a love/hate kind of thing. They certainly look rather lightweight.

Made a choice, bought the ZET3. Very happy with it so far, going to purchase the TMD upgrade soon.
