Two Channel Horn Speakers with Exceptional Phantom Center Performance?

If I understand you correctly you are wanting a center channel. If so you could check out the Avantgarde Colibri.

I believe the gentleman doesn't want a dedicated center channel, but a horn that will provide a
phantom center....since your already in the
Altec family, I can enthusiastically recommend the model 19, especially if you by pass the internal passive crossover and direct drive the speakers with an active crossover with DSP capabilities....
You will have one impressive system for both music and Cinema.

Or if you are unable to get a stereo pair of speakers to give you the performance you need/want for your cinema center channel, perhaps consider a smaller Altec.....Model 14 might get you there.
