Upgrade dilemma. Speakers, streamer or cables?

It’s a Auralic Altair G1, streamer and DAC. Via a Silent Angel Bonn N8 switch with a Farad Super3 power supply.

Now that I see you are talking about an Auralic Altair upgrade. I can get onboard with it. You would be upgrading the streamer, DAC and preamp all in one shot. I pretty substantial upgrade.

Hi, What in your experience is needed in this situation? Your help please. Cables, speakers or streamer upgrade?
. The only thing I would like more is that the music plays more open and effortlessly, with more flow and separation. With more greatness and 3D soundstage.
This is achieved with speaker placement

UPDATE: I’ve got a Altair G2.2 streamer / DAC playing at home now this weekend. It is a great improvement over my current Altair G1. This while remaining a lot of the sound character. But it plays with more authority, more powerful, more textured and a lushness realistic midrange. Also more detailed. I like it!

I’m still doubting about an crossover upgrade by expert Tony Gee. Is it possible with just upgrading the existing parts with the same value but with higher grade parts, to get a more resolving, open sound? With even more separation.

I’m a bit hesitant because I don’t know how it would turn out. At the moment I can listen to my set for hours without being annoyed by something I want to change. So it’s nice and balanced, even with a dual sub integration.

Grtz

Thank you for the speaker placement tips. I’ve been playing with that for a long time and I really think I got it spot on.

Thx
