Use MIT interlinks for phono

Dear WBF members,
Cables like Oracle V1.1 ph, V1.2 ph, MA ph, and MA-X ph are becoming very rare (with 100 Ohm, 1 kOhm and 47 kOhm settings, extra ground wire and more) on the used market. So i wonder about alternative solutions.
Would it be possible (and wise) to use similar MIT RCA interlinks, and set the impedance to 5 kOhm (lowest setting). My cartridge needs to see 1 kOhm, so it's off a little. I know that the set impedance has to match the input as good as possible as can be learned from this thread: https://www.whatsbestforum.com/thre...erpts-from-brisson-interview-on-dagogo.22259/ . So a little next to the optimum, but i have noticed that going from an older MIT to a newer one can compensate for a sub-optimal impedance setting. Anyone tried this?

Another possibility is to convert one of the mentioned MIT cables from XLR to RCA. After a search (examples: https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threads/balanced-tonearm-cable.32864/ and https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threads/xlr-to-rca-diy-conversion.33822/page-2 ), most is clear, but i am not sure if the MIT cables are constructed different and general approaches are possible.
Thanks in advance.
