Gee Amir, looks like have broken the bank! I have the Dick Hyman recording on both LP and 24/176.4 and it is superb either way. Did the Benny Green disc arrive?

Hehe :). Yes, Amazon says the disc has been delivered. I am away from home but returning today and will rip and listen.[/QUOTE]

Do you check them so you know it's real hi-rez?
Actually one of my big Todo items is to go through my entire library of high-res content and analyze them. Hoping to put this on video and share with membership.

I have checked a sampling and as you can imagine, how "high res" they are varies significantly from one album to another. Vertically integrated labels are the best at it. The worst are remasters.

The stuff that disappears from Prostudiomasters usually returns at some point. As an example Joe Pass' Intercontinental disappeared after I bought it and is now back. Interestingly they have it in 24/88.2 whereas HDTracks has it at 24/96.

Yes, I have noticed that. Hopefully they all come back as it is the nicest site for sampling and researching music.

Wow, this is so great; best thread @ WBF...that's what's all about...the ? music. ...I can hear the peace, the joy, the spirit, the holidays, the Christmas season, love is in the air.

* I am listening to classical Opera music right now, on the r.a.d.i.o.

"Four Stars ... (explores) the wonderful colours of a Franz Brodmann fortepiano of 1820. Schiff conjures wisp-like sonorities and never makes an ugly sound ... the Moments musicaux crackle with incisive effects."
