One of my favorites from a long time ago.....

One of the best analog digital transfers I have ever heard. Great music.

Something for the weekend. I think he’s surpassed himself on the new album surrounded by some of the great new jazz ‘giants’.

When I first heard this album I dismissed it as elevator muzak but upon listening to it again (and again) it’s become a regular on my late night listening list. So here again is....

For the music players, the music; the record quality is not the best (Telarc of that era, 20 years ago).

Jazz yes, classical yes, Latin yes, Tango yes, ... incorporates elements of jazz, fusion, classical, Latin, tango, and Middle Eastern music. Sounding like the romantic soundtrack to an excellent foreign film. Jazz guitar, Tango...with the full orchestra and all the musical instruments...the full enchilada...on Telarc. It's like a French film you live inside travelling.

One of the most beautiful songs ever written! Stellar drumming by Phil Collins. One of my all time favorite albums. Earth Wind Fire Phenix horns meets Phil Collins band. The drumming is loosely based on, but not too loose, on his and Chesters drum solos.

ABBA meets Phil Collins band. Phil Collins in his no cymbals stage. Really listen to Phils band here there is some subdued magic here. Lee Skylar bass, Daryl Stuermer magic on guitar.

For those that have never heard of Leland Skylar, this is an impressive resume and a blast to watch play. Very subdued personality but a beast on the bass.

Two very underrated albums, the musicianship is amazing.

And just to keep it Jazz, Daryl is a beast.

I certainly agree with you Roger. I spun the last three in honor of Jack Renner, not for the quality sound recording.

* Of my Telarc collection the average of the ones with good recording audiophile quality sound is less than 30% roughly. And each audiophile has its own Telarc music collection that varies, and the total number of them (I only have about hundred) and the percentage with it. ...The released years, analog, digital, ...etc. Telarc has sure been around for a while.

I like this album ... music, and sound. I also like the artist.
