Wheel Fi

OK, one more post :). This is the technique that works on all videos and especially this one. Start playing the video and immediately hit the pause button. Then watch a gray progress bar. The player will attempt to keep reading the rest of the video and the progress shows up there. Once the gray bar is at the end, hit play and it should play glitch-free no matter how fast your link is.

Gosh, multiple posts on how to play this pesky video. Seems like the publicity drive is working just fine.
Reminds me of the modern art exhibit that was getting very few visitors, but when a sign was put outside restricting viewings to two people at a time, the queues started forming.
Sorry to dampen expectation, but I have sent more than one email requesting some more technical info/pricing beyond the intro "hallo" message, but no reply.

And sorry for the small off topic: Spelling is important, and it occurred to me that the color "Grey" (England) is not the same color as "Gray" (America). It is a darker "gray" in America (USA), and a much lighter "grey" in England (UK).

Ok, with this out of the way because we all agree; how do people in Australia spell the color gray/grey?
* In Canada (North America) it is "gray"...but accidentally in my prior post I misspelled it the correct British way..."grey".

Sorry for the short interlude but it was an interesting "spelling" thing from different areas of our globe.
And Amir, I've just learned a new way to play videos when the internet speed is not sufficient...awesome man!
I hope our friend from Australia, Fiddle Faddle, will now be able to play WHEEL FI video, because it is a fantastic video.

Speaking for myself, I am just admiring the end-to-end craftsmanship, not the product. In other words, it is the video that is fascinating, nothing more.

Thanks for everyone's help downloading the video. Just to explain, even the pause method was not practical because my ADSL download speed is only about 0.2 mbits per second - the bars just sit there forever even at SD. Anyway, thanks to the download link I've set a download and I'll come back to it tonight after work.

It is grey down here. We are, after all, convicts (with commensurate internet technology) and thus servants to the British Throne (at the moment).

So I was right then.

* And I agree with you; 0.2 Mbps is a little too low/slow for internet speed. Check if you can strike a better deal with your internet service provider...with more speed for a reasonable monthly rate.

I've been asking for years, but that as good as it gets for many of us in cities and outlaying areas down here - the technology is old, deployed on the cheap to began with and with the population density in many regions having dramatically increased since the original deployments, we are left with severe congestion on a semi-permanent basis. Even our Mobile networks fall over on a semi-regular basis for the same reason, as does the internet. We are supposed to be employing a National Broadband Network which will increase speeds (for me, potentially massively to around 20 Mbps) but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway, sorry, I never intended to derail the topic. I am looking forward to the video.

I've just finished watching the video. I'd always wondered what happened to Jonathan Strange after he left his worldly existence. Now I know - he got into the HiFi business!

Win might have an issue with winter in Catskill. It's not Maine but it get's cold for a Southerner!! :)

No, but I've been asked why not.

Actually, my wife wants to visit, so she can scope it out. I've been considering property in Costa Rica, so something is bound to break in one direction or the other. Moving is a major decision for us. Then again, my uncle owns a mountain in Utah. ;)
