Watcha all doing to celebrate record store day? Me I"m in LA and going to hit a few in the area including the opening of Brian Berdan's new record store in Monrovia!

Happy hunting!

Myles, today's also my Birthday;
so I'm relaxing by contemplating the idea if I should mow my lawn or not. :b

Then perhaps having a Lager (beer).

...I might do one of the above, but probably not both! ...Guess which one it might be. :D

...But then, tomorrow's Earth Day, so I might do the 2nd part. :b

As for records (albums, vinyls, LPs, 33 1/3s, etc.);
I'm thinkin' 'bout them (the ones I have, and the ones I don't). :b
...My own 'Record Store' (recording storage).

Thanx Frank; you're the only one here who wished me a HB. :b

* It's missing (our birthday dates) in this site here.
...I know it has nothing to do with Audio, but still, it's a gentle human touch. :b

Anyway, I feel awesome; like this:

Hey Myles..... Great seeing you and Dave Clark at Berdan Records today! Fantastic event and great live performance by Stan Ridgway! Hope you two had a great dinner!

Definitely Happy Birthday, NorthStar! Though a day late.

I got lucky yesterday, during Record Store Day. I popped by the music section of a "garage sale" at a local school, and found these - pristine covers, pristine inner covers and pristine vinyl! A good day.

Thanks Eddie, same here!

Happy Birthday Bob! :D

To celebrate, I spent 5 hours listening to LPs I'd bought but haven't had the chance to listen to. I had a blast :)

I went to the two independent record stores we have in Kelowna (Underground Records and Milkcrate Records), one of which held its official grand opening yesterday!

And? Come on...don't keep us in suspense Rich!

I went to Main Street Music in Manyunk, Phila. Lots of live music and vinyl, CDs, etc. John Wesley Harding Jesse Malin and some great local bands. Levon was remembered by many.

Went to Silver Platters in Queen Anne. Folks were lined up around the block. They had the RSD 12" and 7" releases on two separate racks...the resultant scrum felt like a Who concert but I got the two I wanted:

Leonard Cohen "Live In Fredericton" EP (http://www.leonardcohen.com/ca/news/leonard-cohen-live-fredericton-ep)
Portland Cello Project "Homage" LP (https://portlandcelloproject.com/shop/product.php?id_product=27)

Also snagged:
Heartless Bastards "Arrow " (http://www.theheartlessbastards.com/)
The Shins "Port of Morrow" (http://www.theshins.com/home)

My haul on Saturday:

Coleman Hawkins and His Conferes, Speakers Corner/Verve MG VS 6110
Ella Fitzgerald: The Rodgers and Hart Songbook, Speakers Corner/Verve MGVS-6009/10
Andre Previn plays songs by Vernon Duke, Contemporary S 7558
Andre Previn and His Pals: West Side Story, Contemporary S 7572
Charlie Byrd: Latin Impression, Riverside RLP 427
Alan Parsons: I Robot, Arista/MFSL 1-004
Duke Ellington: Indigos, Columbia CS 8053
Sarah Vaughan: The Lonely Hours, Classic (Clarity) Records SR 52104-45, 45 rpm
