Good evening all,

Looking for anyone with experience using JJ tubes ------------
I'm using their EL34 tubes now and I must say they sound really good.
Any one have experience with their reliability?
They are a lot cheaper, frankly than EH, Mullard and Gold Lion.

Curious as to your thoughts..

I've a quad of EL34 JJs in my Radford MA15s. TBH I can't tell the difference between them and the good quad of EL34 xF2 I have.

I've had the JJs in there about 18 months, maybe about 30 hours a week usage and I've had no problems with them at all.

That said my Radford TT100 recently ate a JJ KT88, smoke and a glow like the sun. Though the TT100 runs KT88s very hard, 100w from a pair of KT88 is asking for trouble.

Many thanks for the reply......
Im concerned because I had a brand new octet of JJ EL34
One of the tubes knocked out the tube plate fuse within the amp.
Tubes were a month old..
While they did sound very good I think I'll not trust the reliability issue again-

Happy Listening---
