New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

The Clippers improved their record to 8 - 1 tonight, beating the Thunder 110 - 108 in OKC. They avenged their lone defeat this year with the victory.

Russell Westbrook has had a remarkable season so far this year and had 29 points this evening.

BG32 led the way for the Clips with 25 points in his home town while Chris Paul added 10 assists in the arena where he played for New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina forced the team to temporarily relocate to Oklahoma City back in 2005 and 2006.

I have been able to watch only one Clipper game this season and maybe I shouldn't watch any games if it means they will continue to win. Don't want to jinx the team. :)

Glad to see Doc and the Clippers doing well.

Watched the Lakers and Spurs last night and even though the Lakers lost they were in the game the whole time and at one point had a 10 point lead.

Luke is proving to be a very good HC who the players like and respect

Even though they are 7-6 they look half decent

Who can hate Luke Walton? I have no doubt he will do a great job with the Lakers.

Celtics are ahead of the Lakers now but if LAL adds a couple more ball players they will be right back in it. Both teams have great young coaches.

Not that the fan bases of other teams want to see the Lakers and Celtics win again. Haven't you guys won enough NBA titles already???? :D

Clippers beat the Kings last night to go 11 - 2. I have been able to watch 3 Clipper games so far this year and this is the first time I've seen them win. Just my luck - the other two games I watched were their only losses.

The Celtics are woeful so far. New mega-million signee Horford has been sitting out for like 2 weeks due to a concussion suffered in a practice game. Crowder has been out as well, and now Smart has another foot injury from yesterday's loss to the Warriors. Well, in all that, the entertainment was in the rumor mill - like the Klay Thompson for Bradley and Crowder deal. Sounded good to me, until is was declared dead. :D

Didn't realize the Lakers and Celtics had so many tales of woe. Too busy of late to pay much attention to the NBA other than the Clippers.

I better dig a little deeper before I try to say nice things about the Lakers and the Celtics again. :)

By the way, they still only use one ball at a time in the NBA so I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors reshuffled a bit down the line.

Where there is smoke there is fire!

Tough to deal Klay though

That's true, Steve. The media is going to fan the fire about Klay not getting his touches and points but history will show there were games, key games, that Klay didn't deliver. He can have a few 30 pt nights and some 15 pt nights. But, in games where Curry or KD gets cold, that's the time the Warriors need a guy like Klay to take over. A great third option, I would say.

I watched the last 2 Lakers games vs Spurs and last night vs Chicago. Each game the Lakers come out with guns loaded and play an amazing first half only to make stupid mistakes and turnovers that cost them both games

Clearly they have a much better team than last several years but nonetheless Luke has a daunting task ahead of him.

In spite of this I have to admit that they are entertaining to watch

I thought I saw Brian Shaw back as assistant with the Lakers.

Saw a strange end play as Nick Young sort of 'intercepted' a pass to another teammate and shot the ball and converted it for the win over the Thunder. There is a lot of light now shining in Lakers' land I'm getting worried. :D

I watched the Lakers again last night (3rd game in a row) and even without Russell they looked really good. Again however they came out strong and once again took a 10 point lead only to give it all back and more to OKC only to have Nick Young win it on a made 3 at the end of the game

Brian Shaw has been with the Lakers since they hired Luke. He is Luke's right hand man and his official title is Associate Head Coach

Lakers are tied for 7th with OKC in the west

However they play GSW tonight in Oakland :(

Lakers give up an 80 point first half and trail 80-49

No doubt about this one

Warriors kept shooting from afar and making their shots. Even Ian Clark joins the shooting party. Hard to defend a team with so many good shooters.

Lot of games yesterday

How quickly the Warriors get back into first place in the league with the Clipps losing and the GSW again beating up on the Lakers who were without 3 starters (Russell, Randle, Young)

Clippers suddenly losing a few games quickly. Lost to the Nets in 2OTs and Doc got thrown out for 2 Ts.

Wasn't able to watch the game but did watch a video of Doc's technical this morning. He was not very happy to say the least.

There is bad history with one of the ref's in last night's game - Laura Holtkamp. Chris Paul called her out last year after a disputed call. He was fined. There was a second incident last year as well plus the disputed call last night. Seems the Clippers and Chris Paul should bury the hatchet with this ref and move forward. You never win a battle with the refs.

Griffin sat out the game to rest.

Clippers vs Cavaliers tonight on TNT. Big game and time for the Clippers to get back on the winning track.

Tough assignment against Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Oh yeah, and that other guy LeBron something or other.

I will definitely be watching this game.
