Hey guys, trying to speed up the break-in on my new speaks. Can anyone recommend a good album or tracks that can give my woofers a good workout?

Mostly joking.
Was out riding my bike in early Spring when someone a half mile down the road blew up the subs in their car making a noise easily heard from at least that distance. While nearly stopped after recoiling they calmly ejected this disc, set it in the case, rolled down the passenger window, and threw it into the ditch. After watching all of this play out I felt compelled to stuff the cd in a back jersey pocket.

my speakers are -3db down at 7hz and -6db down at 3hz (on paper). so i do have the ability to do 10hz-20hz cleanly when it's on a recording. and i use active isolation on my amplifiers, preamps, and one turntable......so i can output low frequencies without the feedback causing havoc.
there is always Dafos, from Micky Hart......it sets the bar very high for vinyl. lot's of crazy low frequency stuff there.
but for digital Harry Connick Jr.----She, CD, track 7, "Joe Slam and the Spaceship"
10hz-15hz content. caution----you can cause stuff to blow at higher SPL's. if your system is up to it, you will feel it in your gut more than hear it.

really the most difficult thing for a system to do in the bass is a really 'hot' recorded double bass. like the Jeton 100 3315 direct to disc pressing of Moonlight Serenade; track 1, Mondscheinsonata (Round Midnight/Moonlight Serenade), Ray Brown/Laurindo Almeida.
getting the double bass to come alive in your room is a real treat. getting great coherent lively mid-bass is much more relevant to music than deep bass. and if you play this as you continue to improve your system it will tell you how you are doing so far.
the re-issue pressing (a tape was made from the pressing and then a vinyl pressing from that) or digital is not the same. you need the original direct to disc version.

On a more serious note, the free demo track off a recent release by RR (44/16 linked below) of Verdi’s Grand March from Ai?da (1931 organ transcription by Edwin Henry Lemare) played by Jan Kraybill on the 102-rank Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant at the Kauffman Center’s Helzberg Hall plums various depths.

One of the GOAT albums for bowels of the earth bass and incredible LF transients. A brutal system buster when played at realistic volumes. Some genuine OMG moments and sphincter tone exercises. Don't even try this at home without subwoofers and amps you know will shut-down appropriately when required. Make sure your health insurance includes coverage for being hit in the the head with bass drivers that fly out of their speaker cabinets.
