Well here I am stuck in my home for 10 days or more. I know Mike said earlier to "go ahead and send me home for two weeks" assuming he would listen to music happily for two weeks.
Trust me when I say listening to music is about the last thing you want to do, this shit is wicked. Went to ER the other day for some fluids and bloodwork, thought I was having a heart attack. Have been asleep straight through since last Friday night. Today I am feeling much better but through a comedy of errors at the hospital (screwing up the two previous covid tests) I had a third and confirmed positive today.

I am posting this only to say I will have a lot of time to bug the heck out of you consistently for the next little bit since I wont be out and about communicating with people in person and as a place for some comradery while the time passes.

Are we going to have to put you in a 14 day WBF quarantine too? :)

Just kidding. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Not unless I knock on one of yalls front doors!

Here's the rub I came home Friday night with the intention of unpacking my equipment after the move as we finally made the room in the basement. I fiddled about for about an hour Saturday morning, didnt feel it and went back to bed and here we are.
I am feeling better but went down today to think about it and had no interest and came back up and here I am in bed trolling WBF.

More best wishes and hoping you recover quickly. There is nothing more important than getting your health back.

No regeneron or remdisiver for you? Were these even available options or even discussed? Or was your diagnosis too far into the cycle of development?

Thank guys I appreciate it very much!
I am through the rough part and on the mend.
There was a four day period of which I slept pretty much 24/7 and had a brutal headache the whole time.
I had ZERO energy or will to do anything other than remain horizontal.
They gave my no drugs for treatment as my oxygen levels were perfect and I was told in that situation those drugs can make people worse. The only drugs they gave me was for my headache and that allowed me to get a solid night sleep without interruption, it was a god send.
The lung X-ray did turn up Bilateral ground glass opacities which was /is causing my shortness of breath / chest pains.
My lungs feel much better and can breath deep and feel no pain. Chest pains are gone. They did do bloodwork and EKG on my heart, all good, no enzymes.
My energy level is returning but get to breathing heavyish going up the stairs or lifting anything of weight.
Slow and easy for awhile.
I can finally mostly taste and smell food now, that was ZERO for a few days.

The weirdest thing about this and a have not quite figured out put it in words or describe the feeling I had of not caring about anything at all. I mean nothing mattered to me at all, nothing, nada, zip, nothing. Not a feeling of desperation or anything like that, I just layed there not giving a damn. You could have told me the house was on fire and I would not have gotten out of bed to get out of the house, didn't care. On top of that my patience level was less than zero for anything at all, anything. I have had to apologize a few times to the wife.

So this shit messes with you brain pretty well, at least it did with me. It was a total feeling of emptiness and nothingness, most bizarre thing ever.

My wife tested negative and is living at the opposite end of the house on the second floor. Skyping with her in the same home sucks but it will do for now.

Finally felt good enough to go into the basement and set up the Maggies and listen for a little while, nothing set up proper at all, just felt good to listen to music out actual speakers in my own home, its been two years.

I have watched more documentaries in the last few days than the last few years. The one on Sinatra was pretty damn good.

We shall see what tomorrow brings, I am happy beyond measure to be able to type this of sound mind and body!

So interesting how severe illness makes us take stock. Being sick or hurt badly helps one reset their priorities.

it’s a very strange virus indeed, three friends here in Greece (at their early forties), contracted the virus and they only felt weak, with lack of smell for two days only(without any other symptom). For the rest recovery period they had zero symptoms. The same happened with a client at Florida. He is 78 y.o. He got to know (accidentally) that he is positive at his last stage of recovery. All this time was feeling strong and normal and was playing tennis
