There are different kind and level of natural sound
around 7/8 years ago i brought to home of my dear friend with Alexandria X2,Krell pre and amp Evo One,dcs dac and borrow for 2 weeks
my passive preamp Audiotekne 9501,Mono amp Leak TL 12 plus with original Mullard tubes,Audiotekne cables and one way speaker with his stand that i paid 800 euro from my friend producer.
My friend was shocked and never listen in his life a more natural sound, with all compromise for low power, and deep bass lacking.
Listened only this system for 2 weeks and when i brought home cannot listen his system and changed all except speaker, too bigand difficult to sell.

For me the problem is that 99% of systems i listened in my life from people, big shop, show and Munich in many years that is not natural.
Are hifi system,no bad but no natural.

Yamamura,Imai, Sakuma and Endo around 1989/1998 teach me some how can be a natural sound.
Its a sound that come out very easy from speaker without effortless, speaker disappear and let you shocked for the sound you listen, correct timbre and can listen for many hours without became tired.
Sorry cannot explain very well in English.
You consider the CH Precision gear you now use to give a natural sound? I ask because the previous Kondo and Audio Tekne you have had in the past would often be regarded as a ticket to natural sounding systems.

Gianluigi, do you consider your own main system natural sounding, with SS amplifiers, custom cables and everything ? ;) P.S. Brad beat me with the question, but he just wants to declare SET amps the only way to natural sound, as usual ! I like good SS amps myself !

I have still to hear a really convincing demo with Cessaro...not sure what the issue is because on paper it looks like a slam dunk.

I had tube since 1979 with ARC D90 B,than changed to Jadis 80
I had Yamamura top system with pre and amp 8 stack for 300 kg weight, AudioTekne top,ANJ M 10,Ongaku,neiro Silver,Kageki,Baransu,Gakuon ( didnt liked ),Dissanayake preamp, all these very natural, then Shindo Petrus,Shinonia and 300 B Limited,Mactone Otl M 8V,Klimo otl and Beltainer, these enough good, and Kondo M7 ksl with 2 Souga and phono GE 1,also this very very good.
But when i brought home to try CH L1,X1 and M1 mono in 2016 i loved them and find them, with my speaker and in my system, very special and very natural.

I find my system very natural sound,FOR ME, for his high efficiency and high quality driver speaker.

Then i love also 4 way horn system with Ale and Goto

Oh, it's not perfect. Have heard it 3x and it was only approaching convincing the first time on Bakoon. On Tron 211s, and Mola Mola Class D, not so much.
Feels like a spkr w more promise than practicality. But what I heard work, really worked.

What was wrong with Tron 211 on Liszt? Maybe integration of this speaker just needs work?

The times I heard CH I found it very smooth but tonally somewhat dry. Your speakers are something nearly unique if I am not mistaken...it must work there...

Did you hear Chopin or Wagner?

I would personally love to hear their Voyager amp, which is a single tube design because the EML 20b has enough gain to be used alone as a 5 watt amp. Very cool idea.

700W Class D on 109dB eff horns...yep, I'll take a brace! Lol
Liszts on Trons was a real anti climax...just felt unengaging despite the high resolution on offer
Maybe 211s are a poor choice w horns, 46 or 45 tubes way more suitable?

Agreed that every tube has a sonic signature (even of the same type) but any tube amp can be suitable to drive a horn if tweeked to match the "harmonic signature". That is the "advantage" of tubes, you bias them differently and they sound different, more or less feedback (some amps even have a switch) will also change the sound. We could design an amp with "referenced bias"(lowest distortion) and a "tune button" in case you would like to play with the gain stage linearity to find a sweet spot (toggle between these 2 in case you get lost). This also will be helpfull as tubes age and therefore will change their sonic signature over time anyway (plus perfect for tube rolling).

211s are just fine on horns ...I guess it has more to do with the horns...

You can't draw that conclusion. Maybe Trons were the issue. Bakoon on Liszts were very special...because Mola Mola was poor, thus can't conclude SS bad on Liszts.

It wasn’t really a conclusion...more of a supposition and hypothesis...

I had before 2 Kondo Souga in passive biamping, that i love, but i found more natural the sound of CH in my system.
Strange but is the reality
Anyway i would like to buy some Kondo or ANJ for my second system
