I have visited the wilson xvx / nagra room.
Bit dissapointing its almost like i hear a tw issue
Rockport ch precision .
almost only talk they increase the feed back and play 10 sec and talk again i need to come back
Please just play more music thank you.
Best sound so far at MOC probably cessaro horns , i liked pilium and the small magicos too
Which Cessaros? The bigger ones or smaller ones with subs?

2nd worst big expensive system at the show…just horrible…
Lol.

My worst $$$ for sound system was the Kharma room with the bigger kharmas and their own amps.
With R koda the small ones sounded nice afaik.
At least a system where i could relax without getting anoyed immediately

MBL which usually takes this prize ime , sounded nice this time i thought
they were well set up.

The excesive bass in the stenheim dartzeel room was annoying.

I ll go back tomorrow one more time and thats it

For the top perflormer of the show some more pics.

Lol.

What is your best horn room i have another day at MOC tomorrow?
I thought viva 1 cessaro 2
if you have the time,
spice up your listening experiance :)
Go to „Zeiler“, a small tube amp company.
They Demo their stuff with some original old Tannoy studio speakers, which were used to record and mix Bob Marley and Queen records.
This might give you a „natural“ vintage type of listening start into the day. Close by you can find the Spanish „Admire audio“ and their interpretation of the Western Electric Horn sound.
A nice sounding German Horn speaker can be found in front of MOC/hall4, if you walk a little left the street. Martion (horns), Schick (tonearms) and Consolidated Audio (step ups) do share some rooms in an automotive service building.
In front of MOC the shuttle bus can bring you to Hifi Deluxe, as the JMF 500 Horns from France are the potential final step on this „tour de exotique horn“
Same floor at Hifi Deluxe you can listen to new Gryphon amps, Wadax Dac and Server and the top of the line Spanish Kroma Speakers, also one of the best Demoes in Munich this year.

Lol.

I couldn’t agree more on Kharma.....it was a letdown having had high expectations to begin with. MBL was ok, nothing special in my view.

@ Shakti

Funny i found the JMF also quit good sounding.
I already was at hifideluxe if you read back in this thread i ve posted my expiriences.
Indeed the Kroma room was one of the best of the show.
After listening to a lot of other wadax today i think the real star of that room was the gryphon Apex .
Off course Wadax is very good and so are the speakers.

I ll try to visit the rooms you mentioned tomorrow
The biggest challenge tomorrow will be actually listening to the rockport lyras on CH without the demonstrators talking lol.

The ones I liked:

I loved the Admire audio room.....
I liked the momentum with the Wilsons......especially for the scale
Goebel was good. Powerful and went down without overhang
The absolare with the Aviors sounded really nice today though I am biased
The thrax room with the 300b amps sounded superb
I loved the darts powering the Stenheim ref
Stein music - the smaller horn speaker was spectacular and so were the big ones
YG summits with the Burmester electronics sounded really nice

The Let down:
Kharma sounded bad....period
Avant-garde even worse. The bass was boomy. Maybe that particular song, but I didn’t like it overall

Have you listened also to the kharmas in the other room with R koda ???
And what was your opinion on wilson XVX Nagra

Ps yez i think the Gobels sounded nice

Like porn it’s fluff
Al, just like audio, there's good porn and bad porn, and it all depends on personal taste!

What I found interesting is there isn't a whole lot of consensus about great sound at the Munich Show. Or am I missing input on other threads?
