Maybe that polluted him for standard method acting roles, he does seem more than a little affected.

I think the Godzilla beasts in the original Japanese movies must be close.

ok the films also live from the good supporting actors
I think he should request a refund from that acting school. For whatever reason, I have found him unconvincing in almost everything I’ve ever seen him in. (By contrast, I have found Gene Hackman convincing in everything I’ve ever seen him in.)
But I think Mark212121 is correct; how could I have forgotten Steven Segal? Steven Seagal is worse than William Shatner!
he got worse later. Godfather and dog day afternoon were brilliant. He then just started screaming. Scar face is great, in the last 30 minutes he gives the glimpses of the bad actor he is going to turn out to be
Ron, just catch Star Trek 2 The Wrath Of Khan, and watch as Kirk stares like thunder and shouts "KHAAAAAAN!!!", and tell me this is not the greatest acting ever. Man, a tear (almost) rolled down my cheek.

2) I think it’s interesting to see if preferences like tubes versus solid-state, and analog versus digital, can be traced into other areas of subjective* preferences.
* Maybe some of this is objective? Is there anybody who thinks Steven Seagal is a convincing actor who achieves suspension of disbelief?

his role as t.j hooker was far worse, the only bright spot was heather locklear
Still, he had a surprise or two in him. He was quite good in Kings Row. Otherwise I’d agree.
unlike in audio people get exposure to a wide variety of actors quite easily at low costs so chances of making the same mistake of choosing Seagal as of choosing these crazy audio components is rare. Also, every one has a similar realism template when it comes to acting
