Hi!

I am working on a new series of preamplifiers especially suited for vinyl lovers. Finally offering the adjustability and multitude of inputs which has been requested a few times. Also an all in one box design. Full function preamplifier with phono. Customisable in many ways.

Attached a photo of the working prototype and a pic of the still to be manufactured faceplate.

Hi, will the phono in sonics be similar to the current D3a, only change being the flexibility added?

the article doesn’t say which tube will be used

It is a very different design to allow the flexibility. Different circuit, different tubes. Aim was also to get it much more compact. It does have my house sound but if it is similar to the D3a I leave others to judge. Sound is too subjective

Hi!

The D3a phono is getting this new chassis style as well. This will be an option offered in parallel to the existing chassis. The new one his for a more discreet look without any tubes or transformer covers or capacitors on the top. Shown is the signal unit. It will have a separate power supply as the current one and the PSU will get the same new chassis style. Easy access to the tubes via the removable lid on the top.

Also planning to do the 10Y line preamp in this style but in that case the tubes will be placed on top as there is not enough room inside and directly heated tubes are best operated upright.

Best regards

Thomas

15 single ended Watts per channel without using transmitting tubes. 2 6CB5A tubes in parallel. Need 20+ Watts. 3 6CB5A in parallel will do.
