Bora Bora

Damn, clouds and more clouds every day

Hey Ron...that is fantabulous. Great for you two! We spent a day on Easter Island as part of a S America trip, and the island is so small and in the middle of the Pacific, when you stand on one of the few short "hills"...you practically have a 360' degree view of azure blue ocean and sky...you can even start to see the curvature of the earth, so vast is the expanse of ocean and sky.

I suspect that is exactly what you are enjoying. Amazing. Enjoy!

I do not know how to swim at all
And i don't know how to fly, yet still can enjoy flying !
So we do not need to be able to learn all these things.... so do not worry and....
Enjoy !

Tinka does not like to go to the same place twice. But even she thought Bora Bora was so otherworldly beautiful that we are going back there for our eighth anniversary.

We are in Tahiti for a one day layover.

There is a helicopter ride available from the main island of Bora Bora that flies out to a heart-shaped atoll/island, on that island is a single bungalow and small airstrip (like you stayed in last time) for anyone wanting to try a Robinson Crusoe experience, but the helicopter ride is good enough.

Hmm--As long as its not in a Robinson Chopper:( I say a Prayer every time I have to get in one of those!

Indeed enjoy Bora Bora--it is Idiliic-even if the Mozzies gave me a hard time  --last time I was there to photograph Princess Caroline and Philippe Junot's Yacht for Robb Report --they had Honeymooned there on it--sadly never to be printed --a hurricane sank it not long after I'd left.

Pardon the digression:)

. . . King Kong's island is visible in the distance.

Be safe and enjoy!
Being away clears the mind and rejuvenates the spirit.
Paradise regained!

InterContinental Le Moana is no ritz or glitz. It is much lower-key and more budget-oriented compared to St. Regis, but the simpler set-up actually feels more organic and nature-y and more consonant with what I think of as Bora Bora.

Spectacular! The sky is tremendous, and we remember being in that part of the Pacific (Easter Island)...true 360 view of the planet, sky and ocean. Enjoy!

Any fishing?

We went into the ocean. We saw several sea monsters on the ocean floor.

We observed this poisonous creature below the surface at a depth of .00033 nautical miles.
